Re: Job search woes

I'm kind of in a similar place, and it sucks, doesn't it?

I got my current job by doing rather crappy seasonal work that involved travel and then got hired full-time by the company doing much more awesome work. Now that I need a new job, 8 years later, I'd rather not start at the bottom again. I no longer live with my parents and have the flexibility to take off anywhere at a moment's notice and live out of my car while leaving Mom and Dad to deal with my mail and my pet and my urgent bills, so the entry-level jobs in my field aren't going to cut it unless I become desperate. Trying to get hired into a mid-level job from the outside is not fun.
