26. I don't get why everyone is calling it "almost canon."

Okay, so the situation is a bit suggestive--two guys raising a little girl together. But it's not like they want to do it together because they're in love with each other. D= Matt thinks of Molly as his daughter and so does Mohinder, and they both want custody of her because of that fact. Shared custody =/= love. There's been no evidence that they care about each other a quarter as much as they care about Molly. I see it as a friendship, and not even a close one, only. Not saying it can't happen eventually, but it's not there yet. imho.

... No, really, people think it's canon? Molly is like the ONLY thing that bonds them at this point, to be honest. Otherwise, I just don't see the actual... pairing. Yeah, the potential is there, absolutely! But to say it's canon? Jumping the gun a bit, I think.

I happen to ship it, but I completely agree. People who in any earnestness says it might as well be canon and who think and write of them in some form of caring domestic relationship make me boggle. I'm fairly certain thy respect each other in some way (or it'd be impossible to have that arrangement), but they're not even particularly friendly.

My own secret: I badly crave smut about them where they're being antagonistic. Not because I think they actually hate each other; just to balance out the rest of fandom.

Understandable. I've written some genfic concerning the House of M, and I really do like the Matt/Mohinder pairing, but I can't force myself to write it yet. As much as the fangirl in me hates to admit it, they really just are two dudes living together right now. I wish fanwriters would expand on the potential instead of making up an intimate relationship that isn't there.
