I want to get into SNK but I have to wait until the dubbed version comes out. I just need a new fandom with a lot of fic.

Don't bother with the anime, read the manga. The anime only adapts the first 8 volumes, so if you watch it you'll have to end up reading the manga sooner or later. There are some very colossal revelations in those volumes that are not in the anime, you'll get spoiled if you try to read fics without reading them first.
