I don't get why Vic Fontaine got so much screen time. Like, he was okay? I like a lot filler/funny episodes. I liked that he helped Nog and I thought the episode where they were saving his bar was fun but once you've seen a "character goes to the bar and listens to music/gets some advice/has an emotional reaction" scene you've kinda seen them all? This was in the middle of an epic space war...they could have explored more interesting characters and subplots. Plus the way he got Kira and Odo together was creepy as hell. Apparently a lot of fans love him. I don't get it.

I don't actually know what's popular in the fandom since I only just watched the show (over the past couple months or so, finished about a week ago), but my friends who got me to watch it like him, and another person from this comm said they liked him when I mentioned him before. Which is fine imo. Glad it's not just me.

This is the first I've heard of anyone but the DS9 writers liking Vic Fontaine and I am sorry to hear it. Most boring sentient hologram in Star Trek history.
