Re: Based on #12
Gabriel from Supernatural. He was interesting as a one-off villain when he was the Trickster, but I wish he'd not been brought back. And I don't get why the fandom falls all over themselves for him. There were other, more interesting secondary characters.
Really, I love all the women in GOT. And all of them have active hatedoms. It seems everyone hates Cat. And you are only supposed to like Arya or Sansa but not both. And Dany has an active hatedom too. But I love them all. Brienne doesn't seem to have a hatedom, which I'm happy for. Melisandre is interesting as a character and I'd like to see more fan discussions of her. I've seen a few people who hate Margaery, which I don't get. She's awesome.
Jaime Lannister. I don't like him at all. His arc is interesting. But I hate that he's the only Lannister to get a redemptive arc even though he was just as bad and had less excuse than his siblings (not abused as a child as he was the one loved child, not forced to marry an abusive husband, being the prized first-born son rather than a daughter in a world that hates women or a dwarf in a world that is not kind to those who are different). Don't get me wrong, Cersei is horrible and becomes worse than Jaime later. But it bugs me that he's given this redemptive arc that doesn't always feel like it works for me. So I still hate him.
Xander Harris. I don't know if he's the most popular character, but I can't stand him or understand why anyone would like him.
Darcy Lewis. Just Darcy Lewis.
Coulson, again like Tyrion, don't hate but don't understand the massive popularity (or the popular ships with him).

Re: Based on #12
I wasn't fond of Sansa in GoT but by the time I got to the second book that had melted away because holy fuck, I don't care that she bugged me she did not deserve getting subjected to Joffery's spite. And I quite like her now and I like Arya too(but I agree that is seems like you're not allowed to like both, pffft
I do what I want).I have no particularly strong feelings towards Jamie, like I don't mind him and all but I'm not overly attached? Idk, I think I just like seeing Brienne not put up with his shit.
Both Darcy and Coulson I am 'meh' on, but no active hate towards.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-22 03:32 am (UTC)(link)I've had friends give me the side-eye when I said that I liked both of them but I liked Sansa more because I feel like I'd be a lot more like Sansa than Arya if I were in the GoT-verse. I just relate to her more. Apparently, they thought it was a bad thing.
Re: Based on #12
Personally, I like them both about equally, though they'd be lower on my list than Dany, Brienne, and Cat.
