I think there may have been some cultural appropriation wank yesterday?

Anyway, I'm cool. I got a calll from my doctor saying she wanted to talk to me about my test results. I'd just had my annual exam a week earlier and the ony test I had was a routine pap smear. I couldn't get ahold of her for two days and spent the time worrying, despite knowing rationally there wasn't likely anything seriously wrong (I haven't had sex in nearly 5 years and in that time I've tested negative for HPV and had multiple normal paps). So I finally got a call back from her and she said the test came back "abnormal" but not cancerous or pre-cancerous and when they ran an HPV tes on it, that came back negative. All I have to do now is get a follow-up pap smear in 6 months instead of 1+ years. So, YAY I DON'T HAVE CERVICAL CANCER!

I went back to look and saw that! :o Apparently you cannot eat rice unless you're Asian. Gotta tell that one to my Latino sibs in the Caribbean :o (NVM we make things here The Hard Way, cooking rice in huge pots for all the family.)

But don't mind that, honestly the big thing here is about your exam. OMG. Those are THE GREATEST NEWS, anon, I'm so very glad for you! Even if the results came out weird, it was all ok in the end, was it not? Congratulations on your health, then, and I absolutely hope your next pap smear comes back ok as well.
