Honestly I jut hate this attitude, it's shitty. Some people enjoy the series more and that's their right. Stuck-up book fans with a superiority complex are really annoying.

You seem to forget that there are often major differences between books and their audiovisual adaptation: so it's not as if the anon above was saying that readers were better than non-readers. And they make a good point.

Plus, that part of the Game of Thrones story which so many watchers seem to have taken so badly is but a minor and not all that shocking episode in this grand saga compared to lots of other stuff that happen before and after. More or less non-stop, in fact... I don't think saying that is a spoiler for anyone who has watched the first season, is it? I mean every review of the first episode described it as full of gore and sex and violence? As well as politics, deception and far too many really nasty characters?

Your reaction on the other hand is so over-the-top and unnecessarily aggressive that one could easily jump to the conclusion that there is a reason for it.

Sorry if I come across as aggressive, but yes, it pisses me off. Someone deliberately spoiled me for no other reason than feeling smug and superior for being a book reader. And even from those who don't deliberately spoil, it's an attitude I've often come across.
