it's totally ok if you don't mind spoilers, but please try to remember that for some people they are really important.

I do try to remember. Like I said in another comment, I'm not trying to say it's stupid to care about spoilers (even though I'm going to keep laughing at people who go really over the top with their rage). It's just always something that kind of baffles me because People Are Different and this happens to be one of the ways that I'm different.

Nobody is fighting against the concept of courtesy. They're having a good laugh at the expense of people for whom minor things like spoilers are major.

The idea of a person for whom spoilers are major things telling anyone to "get over it" will never be anything but screamingly funny to the rest of us who try to cultivate a sense of perspective.

Spoilers don't ruin things for me, but they do bother me. As I just said above, I don't understand why people just can't be courteous enough to take the short amount of time to list things that they are spoiling. It isn't that big a hassle and it helps out others a lot. I know common courtesy isn't common, but it seems like some people are like "well spoilers don't bother me, so they aren't a big deal; thus, people are babies if they want spoiler warnings and I'm going to go out of my way not to comply with them" which frustrates me.

or, you know, get off the internet. it really is not the place for those who wish to avoid all spoilers (especially for a show like GOT).

I understand that I'm taking a risk by being in fannish places, but it is NOT too much to ask that people tag comments/posts with "spoilers" and, of course, that they don't go out of their way to intentionally spoil people with things.

i've learned the hard way that the majority of fans on tumblr and such don't tag or warn much at all.
