In the Digimon fandom: Shoutmon. He literally ruined my enjoyment of the most-recent season. Everything revolves around him, since he's the main character, and I hate how that's how it is. The previous seasons focused on a ton of characters, and everyone had their big moment to shine. This season makes all the other Digimon into accessories to beef him up, since all the "evolutions" are called Shoutmon [insert number here]. I usually favor the nerdy or aloof characters, and I can't even get interested in them because I know they're just going to be used to power this guy up in the end and that's it. And his personality and design are terrible. Some fans, who didn't try burning me at the stake for saying this, tried convincing me that he does get better, but I'm still angry at the fact that the show went from "Everyone does things and they're all awesome at some point in the story" to "Everyone works together to help this one guy be awesome."

Ben Diskin does his voice in the dub, and he did his best, but even he can't convince me to like this guy. I've given the season multiple chances in both languages, but I can't sit through it all the way. And this is coming from someone who LOVES the other seasons and all the other characters in the franchise, even the asshole villains.

Say you don't like Shoutmon in the Digimon fandom, and they're ready with the torches.

Based on his name and his picture, I don't like him. I liked the T-Rex digimon.
