Nope there are Sami in Norway!

I did see a couple posts by Sami people who had a couple of qualms with the way their traditional clothing was being represented (on both Anna and Kristof, apparently also the Reindeer thing is a big part of Sami culture), but even they were far from calling for a boycott of the film, merely taking the opportunity to make some of their grievances known.

At least from what I saw.

Kristoff is Saami, but he was raised by trolls who are not Saami. he probably recalls his family as a child and tries to incorporate what he remembers but is not really in touch with his culture outside of having a reindeer. I think that's kinda why he's so obsessed with ice and Sven because they are his biggest ties to his original family.

It really makes me want to know more about him and what happened to his family. Did the trolls really just basically kidnap him? Were the ice guys in the beginning of the film his imagination; a theory. Cause I really like the trolls as family thing but if they did kidnap him from a loving family that kinda sucks.
