OP of the Hook-hate thread here--yeah, I love Emma, and I love Neal, but I'm only so-so on them together. The idea of Hook and Emma together creeps me out for all the reasons you mentioned. Honestly there isn't an Emma ship I'm 100% behind, at least, not yet. Maybe the writers will throw somebody else at her in the last episode of the last season, after they've killed off all her other love interests. I really hope they don't kill Neal though, since he's one of only about five characters that I watch the show for.

(And my brain keeps trying to plot crackfic where because of Hook's stay in Neverland he's basically immortal, so he falls for Henry's girlfriend, and then Henry's son's girlfriend, and then the firstborn is a granddaughter so everyone, including Hook, breathes a sigh of relief, until Hook falls for her boyfriend. And then the girl has a son, and the son is gay, and Hook falls for his boyfriend. And so on, forever.)
