Common sense.

so "common sense" is more important in this case than allowing people to harmlessly create their own representation through headcanons? if you want to feel that way then by all means go ahead, but this case isn't hurting common sense - or anything - at all.

Having your own headcanon for characters is perfectly fine. But saying that your headcanon is actually testament and everyone else's, including that of the creators, is wrong and should be replaced is bs worthy of calling out. It's the worst kind of projection and erasure.

nobody did that though. at most, op was saying they hope their apparent headcanon turned out to be canon. personally i would rather see more trans inclusion; that is more important to me than the ~sanctity of other headcanons or whatever. honestly i just don't think this is as big a deal as you're trying to make it, and i'm always suspicious or people who object to trans/queer/multicultural/diverse headcanons and the possibility of them being included in media.
