I was holding out hope for Michael Fassbender tbh.

(No but I'm not...I don't know, per se disappointed with Kevin, but he's also not 100% what I would've gone with? IDK I guess my headcanon was always that Holt's hubby was actually quite a bit like Peralta (spacey, loud, weird, maybe slightly more mature about it though). Still not sure how I feel about him being drier than Holt (and having Holt actually be the funny/wacky one in their relationship).

I was deeply, deeply bummed, to be honest. It feels like such a wasted opportunity. And as much as I love the showrunners, I feel like they took the easy route in casting someone who is already in their circle of actors.

Kyle Secor and Andre Braugher played detective partners on the show Homicide: Life on the Street. Secor's character, Bayliss, was bisexual, but I just think it would be great to see Secor and Braugher acting together again on a show that is about as far from Homicide as a show can be.

It is great. It's one of my favorite new shows. How about in the character intro for Amy Santiago- when she pours ALL the hot sauce on her sandwich and she's just crying, can't do the heat.

i never got into HLOTS and i ADORED the casting for holt's husband (so delightful in the last scene - "good heavens!"), OP. but i commiserate because i'm still waiting for jill henessy to play the wife of a sam waterston character anywhere.
