Oh this! I've been trying to think why I like Stardust so much (the film this is) and that makes sense as I enjoyed Pfeiffer and Strong a lot - and on average I'm usually drawn to villains more so than heroes. You're right, two very good villain performances. I also loved Robert DeNiro.

I'll admit I've not read the book but I was surprised how much I liked the film. If only it didn't have Ricky Gervais in it (who spoils it a little for me because I can't stand him.)
