The sheep thing kinda reminds me, I was in a fandom for a while when another fandom's BNF heard there was shipping and jumped over to it before they had even seen the source. I know I've jumped into fandoms because I heard it had an element I liked but I at least watched/read the the material before getting into the fandom and getting a ton of attention for my ooc fanart.

Now they're popular there. It just irks me in that case because I've seen them do it so many times it seems like they are doing it for the attention of an active ship and not the love of the source. Especially considering during the hype before the release they were complaining about it and never once said they were wrong about it.
