If it is SGA, there's still a lot of activity. Check out SGA Saturday, SGA Squee, etc. If your fic gets left off recs on SGAgenrefinders, most people accept self-recs. No one's ever going to be another Speranza, but the good news is that there's more diversity in the fandom now and people are really friendly. (Friend me if you're in SGA!)
