Honestly, if that's the case I'd prefer they do a straight-up human AU rather than having the robots have sex with holoforms (unless it's explicitly a kinky thing for the TFs and attention is still paid to their robot bodies).

Why does this not fall under the category of "author is writing for themself, not for potential audience"? Unless they're advertising it incorrectly, who cares if that's what they want to write?
