While I don't agree with OP, men do tend to be the target audience for 'general' stuff, and female characters are rare, and many of them tend to be kind of shit in one way or another. The point she missed, I think, is that you can enjoy something while still seeing flaws in it. Unfortunately, a lot of people on F!S disagree.

Female-targeted (which is also mostly female-CREATED) media gets a lot more hate than 'criticism', since most of the time said 'criticism' is a bunch of projected insecurities on people who aren't as stupid as you and political bs. An example being the anon above.
