Ok, so skyrim is buggy as fuck, yes? We know this. I mean, it seems all Bethesda games are a bit buggy, but today skyrim took away the fucking gold medal of cuntery.

There is now a whole quarter of the map - The quarter of the map where all my current quests are - that I simply can't reach. I can't fast travel, I can't ride a horse or a cart, and I can't walk. I get near some invisible border along the north east and the game freezes. Every time.

EVERY FUCKING TIME.

I have cleared all my excess save files. I have cleared my Xbox's system cashe. I have tried waiting indoors for an in-game week. I have no DLC for the game.

If I start a new game I can reach the area fine, but for my LEVEL FUCKING 100 character I am totally fucked.

FUCK YOU, SKYRIM. FUUUUUUUCK YOOOOOOOOOOU.

I have no idea how Skyrim works, but is it possible you have some quest or mission that's blocking that area?

It is not. It's an open world, and I've visited the area tons, but for some reason now it's glitched on existing save file.

Well then that just sucks, sorry man. Maybe it'll magically fix itself like it magically broke itself.

This crap is why I decided not to play Bethesda games on console. There's no real way to fix the bugs - but pc at least can have unoffical patches.

However, I think you might be able to move the save file from your Xbox to the pc and see if you can fix it somehow from there? [I don't have an xbox though so idk how well that works.]

I'm so sorry, I would be apoplectic if that happened in one of my games, that's why I'm so leery about open-world games, too many avenues for fuckery.

This only happened to me with one dungeon. ...It magically started working again after I stopped playing for a couple of months. I imagine it must have been patched.

That game isn't so old, so there's a good chance you'll get a patch for it eventually. You might have to resort to trying another copy of the game to see if there's a disc read error happening or something.

I'm late, but that sounds like save bloating. It happens on consoles when the save reaches a certain size. There's not much that can be done unfortunately.

Is it down near Falkreath, kind of near where the Dark Brotherhood is? I had major problems with that - turns out it's something about the spawnrate causing my computer to crash which is impressive cause it survived 500 accidental chickens.

Solution was to turn all the settings down to utter minimum, complete mission, leave.
