Uh okay, you got the wrong impression. My mother meant it as, "if someone's going to go bad, it's not going to be a book that does it". And seriously, how often has a book been the one and only catalyst that lead to the "corruption" of anyone?

And...I'm sorry, are you insulting my mother while praising the Spanish inquisition? Cause you're sending some very mixed signals here.
