Also, I doubt having having whatever bat girl has on her midriff would stop an impalement.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-25 12:04 am (UTC)(link)I guess it matters what material you consider canon when it comes to the suits. Some have Batman's suit material being able to withstand knife attacks, so I would assume Batgirl's would be the same.
Personally I find any suit for women a bit ridiculous when it's exposing a body part that it shouldn't if she's going into combat. Well, with the exception with superwomen like Super Girl, Power Girl, etc. who are made of stronger stuff that could withstand more injuries to the exposed skin.
