I can see this happening now Yuzuru won the gold. There has been ice skating manga/anime but it all has been shoujo.

based on the amount of Yuzuru Hanyu art on pixiv where already looks like an anime character, it shouldn't be long. Especially not with all the Plushenko/senpai Hanyu/kouhai stuff I keep seeing. It's practically like watching a live action anime as it is.
