Starsky and Hutch

(Anonymous) 2014-02-25 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
My love for the way Starsky mispronounces words like "hoppopittimus" for "hippopotamus" and "ignatius" for "igneous" knows no bounds. How is this guy so adorable. Also, the way he hits (or tries to hit) assholes for being mean to his friends or innocent people or victim-blaming rape victims or saying the N-word, which is ill-advised and pretty immature but so endearing.

Also Hutch is sometimes really, really pointlessly mean to him. But for some reason, this just makes me love Hutch even more. Maybe because it's because Hutch is so sensitive and frustrated about all the unfair shit that happens all the time that he's often really tense and depressed, but he has 100% trust that Starsky will just laugh and brush him off if he vents his frustration on him a bit, and that kind trust in his friend far outweighs the little mean things he does.

Starsky definitely falls into a certain category of male characters: the type I find to be so cheek-pinchingly precious I feel like I'm doing someone bad whenever I stare at his ass.

I never felt guilty for eyeing Hutch though. Lord, those blue, blue eyes.

Oh man, didn't he once slap another cop in the face for calling some lady the n-word? I gotta rewatch this show some more...

Yep. Manchild on the Streets was the episode. :)
