pretty much...i found his blog accidentally by a mutual friend and he and i agree on so many things and we have similar interests and we're the same age and oh god he's actually cute...i guess all i can do unless i get the courage to say "hello, we have mutual friends and interests and i think you are a cool person" is daydream about doing that.

daydreaming about saying hi to someone. never realized i was quite that shy.

problem is i had a crush on him before i even found out we were "compatible" as it were...but then it was a distant kind of crush and i was okay with admiring from afar and now all i want is to talk to him...him to know i exist.

why do i sound like a fucking eight year old god i hate it i hate crushing i hate this

oh and what's really weird is he has the same first name as three other guys i've had a crush on in the past

i mean it's a common name but why do i always fall for guys named that

i think i actually liked him more once i found that out, it's fucking weird

If you're within driving distance, you could possibly work up the courage to eventually contact him. Especially if you do have mutual friends! It's okay to have butterflies over this stuff. Sometimes when you connect with someone on a lot of levels that you can begin to see a bunch of potential there, it can get you excited over it. So if you do have mutual friends and he's within a close distance to hang out at a movie or something, then maybe you can send him a message saying you think it's cool to find someone else who has ______ mutual interest and see where that goes.

If it's too long distance or if he's with someone else/has a sexuality not compatible with yours though, then it might be best to remind yourself of that and that there's plenty of fish in the sea. I know it might not seem like that right now, but I promise you'll find someone else you can connect to like this.

I should note that even if it is long distance, there can be ways to work it out. It's a bit harder, but it's not impossible!
