Samurai Flamenco
(Anonymous) 2014-02-25 11:20 am (UTC)(link)But yeah, Samurai Flamenco. As weird as this show is, it's grown on me.
I think it's interesting how the Flamengers are so very colour coded - the girl has some lavender/pinkish brown eyes, Green has green eyes, Black has black eyes. But Masayoshi has blue eyes while Blue has reddish-brown eyes? That's kind of strange and I'm not sure if that's intentional or not. But I guess the colour coded names are more important.
One thing I think is funny: It's just about the perfect Haruhi Suzumiya AU. And it's not only because of Kyon's VA. With all the genre shifts and silly monsters, it really feels like something Haruhi would do once she gets it into her head that she wants to live in a Tokusatsu world. It's mostly the character dynamics: Haruhi and Mikuru are a lot like Mari and Moe, Yuki could be in the role of Misawa, Kyon is pretty self evident and the nice, male model type seems like a logical choice of Koizumi's AU role. It amuses me.
