You know the Very Special Episode phenomenon, where a ~serious~ or topical social issue is showcased in an episode of a TV show? Some of them are really good, some of them are terrible, some are cheesy but still endearing. Which examples of this are your favorites, whatever the reason for your liking them may be?

There was an episode of the 90's era Batman cartoon called 'Harley and Ivy,' that managed to be a Very Special Episode about domestic abuse without feeling like a Very Special Episode.

In a similar vein i thought the issue of Impulse where he tried to help an abused classmate was very well done.
