The prose was good, but it was wasted on such a solipsistic piece of plotless navel-gazing. The protagonist is either the author (they have the same name) or a fictionalized version of her or something in between, and she gives me a nigh-terminal case of the eyerolls.

Depending on your perspective, it was either a casual heads-up that I wasn't speaking into a vacuum, or a passive-aggressive response to a passive-aggressive subtweet. My intentions lined up more with the first, so I'm happy to believe hers did too.
