Not least favourite, but I never talk about it because that's about the most unpopular fandom opinion I have: Lee Pace in The Hobbit. I have nothing against Pace (I liked him a lot in Pushing Daisies) but I didn't like his Thranduil at all. He felt more foppish than regal to me.

I loved his portrayal, but I can definitely see the foppish thing. Tumblr's outlook on him does not help.

Yeah, his tumblr fandom put me off much more than I originally was. At first it made me laugh, but then it got so widespread and now it just feels overdone.

He just doesn't look like Legolas's dad! He's taller, yes, but otherwise... He needs to be more Hugo Weaving's age, and actually look a bit like Orlando Bloom. And not be so flouncy, though I do like his costumes.

IA. This Thranduil is not even impressive :/ He's, like, a make-believe elf and a make-believe villain.

But then again, there were few things about DoS that I really liked.
