I LOVED Tom Cruise and hated Brad Pitt. Pitt was so fucking boring. But Cruise just made Lestat so likeable (even as he was murdering people). Pitt was basically the Angel and Lestat was the pre-chipped Spike.

Well, Lestat is supposed to be this larger than life, charming, devil may care character. While Louis was a moper. I think Cruise captured Lestat's essence to a tee while Pitt went too far with being a moper and failed to make Louis sympathetic. Louis was a dish rag.

be glad they didn't go with their earlier idea. Louis was almost played by John Travolta.
