Why is Derek going to get shot? Do you think Chris will go through with shooting Stiles? Is Scott going to turn Stiles into a werewolf (HE BETTER NOT)? How is Kira's mother going to factor into all this? (Is she the one who offended the nogitsune?) Is Allison a nogitsune too? Is everyone in the preview (including Isaac and Derek) getting possessed (it sure as hell looks like it)? How do you think the season will end?

I'm curious what everyone thinks!

And why was he shot in the stomach? Maybe he was jumping in front of someone else? Live saving failwolf?

I can't imagine them actually turning Stiles. They've always been pretty firm on Stiles being the human angle. Of course I guess that's shot this season anyway with him being possessed so who the hell knows.

I have given up trying to predict this show. It is so random! Nothing makes sense! And they seem to really love that nothing makes sense and going the shocking route, so who knows!? I hope they don't do some sort of season cliffhanger though. That would suck.

He could be jumping in front of Stiles or Scott; I could see that happen. I wouldn't even be surprised if someone we know and love (Stiles or maybe Allison, if she's possessed) shoots him. Why? Uh...to take over his loft, I suppose? What's with villains and that fucking loft?

Jeff did say that Stiles would always be human, but he also said we would never see Stiles playing lacrosse or kissing a girl, so now I'm a bit worried. I really don't want (almost) the entire teenage cast to be supernatural. As hot as he would be with glowing eyes, lets leave him as is.

Again, Jeff said the finale wouldn't be the typical cliffhanger so hopefully he wasn't lying about that. He also suggested one of the main cast members was going to die permanently though, and now it seems that might not even be (completely) true. I'm not sure what to think either.

I really don't want Stiles to be a werewolf. I'd be okay with emissary. I'd even be okay with ghost. But please, no more werewolves.

I don't either. Stiles needs to stay human; the 'pack' need someone 'normal' to ground them. It wouldn't be the same show if Stiles was suddenly tearing throats out with his teeth.

Yeaaaaaaa, you're right, I don't want Stiles with blue eyes. (Now Stiles with yellow eyes? UNF. But still, no.)

The shipper in me immediately thought, "Chris does shoot at Stiles and Derek jumps in front of him" but then I realized about 2 seconds later how unlikely that is :P

I actually don't think it's that unlikely? Not even 'because Sterek', but Derek is a good person who genuinely wants to help and tries to save people (like Chris recently), and I think he would put his life on the line for just about anyone at this point. And if you wanna come at it from a shipper standpoint then he probably likes Stiles more than most people. (Granted, Derek doesn't seem to like many people in the first place, but the point still stands. He doesn't want Stiles to die and he's always protected him when he's been in a position to; that wouldn't change now.)

NGL, I want it to happen and also think it would be kind of hilarious if the first time Derek saw Stiles again was when he was bleeding out because of him. And yes, the fandom would explode.

But I do actually think it would make plenty of sense from a character standpoint, so I don't see why it can't happen, I just don't know if it's something Davis would do right now. Derek has questioned Chris twice about what he plans to do with Stiles and last episode you could see he wasn't exactly happy about the situation, so who knows what will actually happen. In the past he's been quick to jump to "Kill them NOW" if he even believed someone posed a threat, but he's more zen now, and seems more empathetic, and I think he's moved past that.

All good points. I agree that despite what he says, Derek will risk his life for good people. And he thinks Stiles can be saved.

Back to Echo House, my roommate and I have been discussing the reactions to the episode and we were both surprised. We liked it more than the majority of people, it looks like.

As far as the sex scene, my initial reaction was that they didn't use a condom and that that was lame for how Stiles loses his virginity. Beyond that, I wasn't even bothered. I guess I watch this differently than a lot of people.

Derek likes to make himself appear more heartless than he is. (Remember that scene from this season where he followed Scott around for a day? Not that this is unusual for Derek, but I thought that was cute and showed how much he cares. He thinks Scott is the best.) I'm not actually sure he's convinced Stiles can be saved, but as long as there's even a remote possibility I think he'll try to help him. He's leaving violence as a last resort right now (Deucalion, for example), and Stiles is one of the few people who's been there for him in the past. I think he does appreciate that.

lol, it seems like! You even liked it more than me, and usually I'm all for TW. IDK, I'm hoping Stiles didn't actually lose his virginity that way and that they just made out and groped each other. (I know it isn't likely, but leave me to my delusions.) I was really disturbed they would bring up sex at a time like that. Somehow I can go with the flow of werewolves and kanima and nogitsune but when you put two teenagers (one possessed!) possibly losing their virginity with no protection in a mental institution I just can't. I can't. Maybe that makes me the weird one, but I can't turn it off.

I want that to be Derek jumping in front of Scott jumping in front of Stiles. Taking the bullet so Scott doesn't have to, because the slow-mos I'm picturing make me laugh. Oh, and the Sterek fandom can still have their s3 poolish scene to analyze frame by frame and maybe be able to cut scott out of the middle frame if that bugs them.
