Once Tara faked a pregnancy/miscarriage in the way she did I lost all respect for her. Anyone who would do that to someone she claims she loves is nothing but trash. No she didn't deserve to die but when she did I didn't shed any tears.

I hated her from the first episode, and my hatred only increased with every episode of her, "I'm owed all the power and reputation of the club only how dare you be doing something illegal or in my opinion distasteful, guise!! Even though I knew what I was getting into and coming back to!" shtick. Hearing she gets killed was my only incentive to continue the series, but she fucks with Wendy before then? I'm as fucking done with this shit as I was finding out LaGuerta dies on Dexter.

I don't know that I full on hated Tara but she could annoy me. Tara could definitely be annoying because she often had a "I'm better than this" attitude while getting herself deeper and deeper into the club and making the horrible decisions that go with that. I would have respected her more as a character if she had just left long ago.

But I also knew her character had to die eventually, Sons is based off Hamlet and even as the story diverges, you know it can't end well for Gemma, Tara, Jax and Clay. I was glad this season they finally moved that forward instead of the constant back and forth in earlier seasons.

I love Tara. I thought her character arc in season 6 was amazing. And I'm glad she died, because her death was the logical consequence of HER choices, HER decisions. She wasn't fridged, she was a fully fledged character who simply died as a consequence of her own actions. I love that the show didn't chicken out and let her live. (I am, however, furious that they chickened out and didn't have Jax kill her because Sutter has a raging hard-on for Jax.)

The only thing I didn't like about Tara's death was the last minute Jax and Tara makeup plot, just so Jax could tragically lose his love. It's also all too convenient to have Gemma be the one to kill her. Like yes it all makes sense, but it's been done before.

Yep, them making up sucked. I hate that Sutter refused to have Jax kill Tara, it would have made so much more sense.
