Re: Saddest Character Deaths
(Anonymous) 2014-03-01 02:21 am (UTC)(link)And the book was bad enough. I stopped and started on it so many times. The first time I got to the part where they slept part of the night in an incinerator and I was so terrified by the book already that I put it down in the sure conviction that they were going to be burned to death. This is a book that trains you to expect awful things.
Mostly, admittedly, because the characters have been trained to expect awful things. Good gods above.

Although, that book did introduce me to Tod, and planted the seed for my love of clever, tricky, foxes. I've actually had to name a character that in a story, 'cause...yeah.
But...puppies!
