I'm biased from nostalgia, but I'd recommend The Mighty Ducks or D2: The Mighty Ducks. It has 90s cheese, kids just goofing around creating silly havoc, and heartwarming endings galore.

Most of my comfort movies probably wouldn't be comforting for other people. While You Were Sleeping is one of the only rom-coms I like. I watch it all the time. Uh, most animated movies are good for comfort. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I think a lot of folks might find the 1970s social attitudes of The Bad News Bears offputting. That's a shame, because it's a great comfort movie if it doesn't bother you.

Also, I can watch Topsy-Turvy any time, over and over.

Ella Enchanted and Ever After. I just like Cinderella reworks when I'm upset, I guess. :)

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure is the one I tend to watch when I just want to turn off my brain and smile for awhile.

My fiancee also turned me on to The Road to El-Dorado once when I was particularly unhappy, I think about my work situation.
