Personally, I wish makeup weren't a thing, then I wouldn't have to worry about whether or not I should be wearing it. That's just me being self concious though. I'm 27 going on 28 and pretty much never wear make up. I'm just lazy and I don't like the way it looks on me. I know how to make it look more natural, but I just don't really feel any different, aside from feeling like I've painted myself up. Or like I'm trying too hard. I mean, I pluck my eyebrows, wash my face and occasionally wear lipgloss or chapstick at home when I have no plans to go out again, but I always resisted wearing makeup.

Not bashing on anyone who enjoys it, it's good that you do and you should continue to do so. Like how I enjoy pasta. It's just what you like.

Though I'm sort of annoyed that many guys don't know the difference between someone with makeup and someone without. I also notice it's mostly women who comment to me more that I go without makeup than guys. Like I'm forgetting something fundamental about being a woman.

I'm kind of surprised so many of you on F!S wear makeup. Not sure why really, there's no basis or reason why I should be surprised or unsurprised. I guess because I don't wear it, it's something I always forget about easily.

Yeah, I kind of feel the same way.

Like, I get that it's fun and nice to look pretty for some lovely ladies and rock on if you enjoy it, but most times I've put on make-up it feels incredibly unnatural and I have negative reaction when I look at my face. It isn't even that the make-up's bad or anything, it's just that my reflection doesn't even look like me and doesn't feel right.

And I don't like there's this expectation for women to wear it either and that a lot of guys don't notice the difference because so many women decide to wear make-up.

Wow, I'm kind of relieved after I read your reply! I honestly never think about makeup until I'm around other women that do so and point it out to me. And maybe that's just my own problem or something, but yeah I do feel like there's some kind of expectation from certain people that I should be wearing makeup or that I would look 'cuter' with it on.
