No man, it's weird. It's a weird feeling and experience for me. 100% weird. Not a good or bad weird, just a regular weird.

not questioning your sexual orientation, but said thing *can* be subject to change. I used to like strictly girls until in my twenties, and then there was this one guy and BAM!
After I'd spent years finding my footing in my lesbian identity, it took me almost a year to admit to the new feelings for a guy. So idk, maybe what I wanna say is that "we" with marginalized sexual orientation tend to have even less tolerance for change there than many straight mainstream people, because we're usually in a position where we have had to defend our identities and preferences.
So maybe it's just a one time thing, or an exception, or nothing, but then maybe it's a different path opening for you. whatever you find it is, it's all you. ;-)

I totally agree. But what I don't like is people trying to invalidate my feelings. Or the standard response to asexual people talking about attraction being: hormones!

I'm not ranting at you personally, it's just a topic that annoys me and it comes up a lot when talking about asexuality. I saw a secret awhile ago that was similar to this, OP was talking about how they were asexual and suddenly found themselves sexually daydreaming about this one character and how they felt it was all very strange. All of the replies were "welcome to puberty" or "it's not weird, that's normal" or other dismissing or insulting things. When like, no, it's a pretty strange experience to have for some people. Doesn't mean it's bad or good, but it can definitely be strange.

Idk. Asexuality is a pretty easy sexuality to live with until you try and discuss it with sexual people, then suddenly they like to talk to you like you're an idiot child who has no clue about life or that you're just repressed or something.

I'll stop now. Ha. Like I said, nothing against you personally and I actually agree with what you said. It's just a topic that gets me annoyed easily.

Thank you for saying this. :) It's like everybody is just "try harder" or "you're an idiot child" if you don't want to have sex. :( I don't even talk about it irl becuase of this, and internet conversations always seem to bring on the bullshit, so I avoid it here too....But thank you for saying this.

I get where you're coming from, anon. As someone who has pretty much identified as asexual for several years now, I can attest it has nothing to do with hormones.
