I thought they weren't allowed to play the pity party card on the telethons anymore? Mind you it has been some time since I've watched one, so....

(Anonymous) 2014-03-01 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)I don't really mean telethons, necessarily - but for instance, I'll read an article online about a kid with autism, and the comments will be like:
"TEARS PRAYERS TEARS!"
Or the article itself will basically be like that. And there are times shows and movies this too. The only thing I liked about Glee was that Becky was so not an inspirational blessing from Heaven Above. (And even that got twisted into another kind of awkward. Especially the shooting episode.)
