biggest "worry"

Gosh I don't know what my parents biggest about me. Probably my head and/or my nose.

My mother is at least most vocal about her worry over the fact whether or not I'm wearing a hat. If it's below zero and/or windy, I am. She still asks everytime.
Also she's worried about my late-night walks. Even though I live in a much safer place now than I did growing up.

Dad doesn't really vocalize his concerns. The only recent one I can remember is his worry that my personality would change once I get my FtM-diagnosis and hormone treatments.

that I'll cut the apron strings for once and for all, say I am 1000% done with them and their complete inability to be adults, sell everything off, and go live somewhere far far faaaaaaaaarrrrrr away and leave them to have to man up and live on their own

I'm turning from very idealistic to cynical.

That's exactly what they worry about making me cynical.

In all honesty though, a lot of it has cemented my views of how good people can be, and how many people do the shit they do because they're in bad situations.

Though yeah, there's a creeping level of detachment required.

I think there's a general worry about my career/financial future. Nothing in particular, but just general parent worry about their kids' ability to take care of themselves.

I think my mom is worried I will never get married and make her some grandbabies, but that's more a worry about herself and not really about me.

I. honestly don't know? they don't talk to me about this sort of thing a lot, not unless I ask them. my mom is too pragmatic, and my dad is too diplomatic. (that's the short version, but it roughly fits.)

Unfortunately I think their biggest worry (or at least my mom's) is that I'm never going to get married and have kids like a proper person. If that isn't a worry for them now, it sure will be as soon as they realize that's exactly my plan. My mom's casual thoughtless "someday when you're older and have kids" comments have been gradually getting more of a pointed feel to them. You already have grandkids, knock it offffff

My father worries that I will turn crazy* like my mother, because he sees too much of her in me.
My mother worries I will quit school and/or never get a job.

*Yes, yes I know not an okay word, but it is my life and my way of dealing...

They worry that I'll embarrass them.

And that is the only thing they care about.

that I'm going to hell

I'm a pretty good kid, so probably whether or not I'm ever coming "home" (i.e. back to America), and whether or not I'm ever going to get married/have kids, since I'm almost 24 and have never really had a boyfriend.

That I'll start to view my disabilities/disadvantages as insurmountable and give up on trying to make things better for myself.

That I'll never find a full-time job with health insurance.

Everything. According to my mother, I can do nothing right and am the uberbitch.

Eh, probably that I keep moving and forgetting to tell them for months on end.

Oh, and possibly that I'm still single? But I think that's a general nosy parent concern.

Aaaaand probably my general health on account of autoimmune problemos~

I honestly don't know. I think my mom thinks I married the wrong person (she still tries to introduce me to men ~~who have lots of money~~ she thinks would be good for me) but my dad doesn't seem to worry about me other than just generally hoping I stay happy and healthy.

My safety living in the city. I just remind them that the neighborhood I'm in now is way better than the one I used to live in, and did I mention there was a shooting there a week ago? Surprisingly, it doesn't make my mom feel better.
