Malicious or Misunderstood?

(Anonymous) 2014-03-01 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm at a games school and we've finished our projects for the term. One project lead, quite known for his arrogance, insisted to have the skeletons of the major characters from the other projects be hidden in one of their levels.

On one hand it makes sense for it to be skeletons because it's Journey to the Center of the Earth and naturally there wont be many people hanging around.

On the other hand it is quite obvious symbolism, especially considering they're the only really successful project.

Do you think people are right to be miffed about it, or would you think it's more of a nice gesture gone wrong?

Doesn't seem all that malicious to me. But might be one of those "had to be there" things where tone and personality matter in the interpretation.

I'd usually be inclined to see it as a homage, but going by the description of arrogant lead guy I'm not sure.

? I don't know, it sounds like a cute little easter-egg to me.

I kind of like it? Why are people upset? Are they hurt?

I think it's kind of a cute idea, but I'd definitely ask the other people first.

I don't see a problem? Maybe people are reading too much into it just because they have already formed an opinion on that guy.

That's what I'm wondering too. It's hard not to think of it like that because he's such a colossal ass.
