But there isn't a clear dilleniation between the beliefs one professes online, and that they hold in real life.

This! The kids who post that kind of garbage in the first place just seem to have this freaky disconnect that stuff they post on the Internet is somehow not coming from their heads, when it actually is, and if/when they hit actual adulthood, it's going to really mess them up.

Adults writing porn fanfic is a whole other topic but IMO the worst of it is posted by underage kids who have no idea what they're writing in the first place, and they're using all kinds of social justice arguments to make it okay.
