Sorry, I don't know. My ex-roommate loved it, but I can't remember what it was titled. The art style looked like some of the 80's manga that came out of Japan, so I figured it was the same series.

I would have guessed Banana Fish, which IIRC was a big influence on FAKE. Any of this look familiar?
