Lupita Nyong'o is wonderful. Honestly, I'm sure there are some people who think they're all enlightened because they're fans of a black woman, but I think it's equally bad to assume that that's the only reason anyone likes her.

I haven't seen either movie, but if those synopses are accurate, I agree with the "fix." What exactly is so amazing about an actress from Kentucky playing a housewife from Long Island? I'm honestly confused here. Even without the comparison, I'd be confused about why the writer of that article thinks there's any "bravura" in that.
