But the soul-crushing-ness is kind of the whole point of the show. So if you need to balance the bleakness with something fluffy, balance it with a different show?
I don't know, I just don't get the whole fluffified villain thing.

I guess it's like how in fandoms for happy non-soulcrushing shows there's a lot of dark and tragic stuff? I don't know how to explain it. But it's not the same thing as balancing with a different show.
