That accusation just confused me. Meaning no disrespect, deafness seems like a really weird thing to fake. I mean, it's pretty easy to check.

And it's not like I haven't been talking about being deaf since the LJ days (I remember there was someone who thought all music was dumb and pointless and didn't understand why people would waste time on it and I'm like "can I have your ears then because you clearly don't need them" and there was a fight.)

I'm willing to bet that it's the same anon who made the original "UR NOT REELY DEF BECAUSE U DONT FIT IN MY TIKY BOX" claim last week. They're just butthurt that I broke out the hearing aid picture and had the thread locked.

Anon really was just a bitter asshole with no life for targeting you like that. It's like when another anon targeted chardmonster's weight for no reason what so ever other than to just be nasty.

But all the same, it's really unnecessary and all this flooding from toxic anons is going to start driving away FS' more frequent users. I know that I come here for fandom and open discussion in the general comments, not to see people getting personally attacked or being told that they should die.

They can troll me all they like. I know I got really pissed at the deaf thing last week (it's not the first time I've had someone tell me YOU'RE NOT REALLY DEAF STOP WITH YOUR APPROPRIATION) but with this one it's so obvious they're just trying to get a rise out of me and all they're going to get is me laughing at them.

I can't say I wouldn't be celebrating if certain frequent users stopped coming, but the general toxicity level is getting kind of excessive lately and it's making reading the comments here even more of an exercise in masochism than usual.
