Might be time to take off those nostalgia goggles, friend. You can see the animation clearer without then, and my god is it stunning.

The thing is, while CGI animation is amazeballs, I still wish Disney would make do more 2D animation. I have this sinking feeling that they've just decided that Princess and the Frog is proof that 2D is on it's way out (though I also heard Disney put a big muckety-muck from Pixar in charge of their animation dept)

Yes, this. I love traditional 2D animation AND CGI animation. Why can't we have both?

Uh, Frozen had objects clipping through other objects along with a host of other cheap budget problems which you usually see only in video games.

Like the movie if you want, but it's low-tier 3D animation.

Oh, please tell me you're legitimately trying to tell me that 2D animation is flawless and never has obvious mistakes. Please.

Clipping happens in almost every CGI film; it's pretty much unavoidable.

The only reason why you're hearing about Frozen's issues is because tumblr decided it was public enemy number one and went all out to find issues with it that really aren't ones. Wreck It Ralph, How to Train Your Dragon and Up also have clipping issues/animation issues in them, but hardly anyone bothered pointing those out.

I'm not even a fan of Frozen, but faulting its animation where other CGI films have similar issues is just silly.

Yeah, no. I still watch tons of 2D animation series nowadays, so nostalgia goggles my ass. CGI is ugly as fuck, deal with it.
