This is kind of a pojntlessly jaded comment. They're not literally saying "I will LEAVE!!!!" they're saying "this is a Bad Thing, and we should not even considering going down this road." Does this really need to be explained?

Jaded how? It's their own words.

"If fanfics were monetized like fanarts I would leave fandom immediately..."

They did not say it's bad and we shouldn't do it. They said if XYZ happens, I'm leaving. But they'd watch the wank from afar, natch. Your interpretation is very kind, but again-- the comment was quite succinct and you're ignoring what the person actually said.
