I hate that man so much, and the fact that Lucasfilm kept contracting him to write, wrecked Star Wars for me, waaaaaay before the prequels drove the last nail in the coffin.

I literally just left a comment that says exactly the same thing. After Anderson screwed up the expanded universe I put all my hope on the prequels. And then came "The Phantom Menace" and my childhood died that day.

Yup. I'm still disappointed with myself that I kept reading them as long as I did, it was that Black Fleet Crisis, bullcrap that finally made me through the book against the wall. I don't think I've read anything but comics in the EU since.
