That's the point. TV fans are complaining Canon is too difficult too Victorian etc. but they've never actually read word one of the stories. I have even seen the Tumblr idiots bragging about how they'll never read Canon, they have zero interest in Canon, the only thing they're interested in and squee about is the delusional fanon(s) in their heads.
