I had never heard of this before this week but as bizarre as the show sounds, this art is gorgeous and completely tempting. Might give a shot sometime.

The art in that pic is nice, but the show looks pretty bad and is full of badly drawn scenes.

Tiger and Bunny suffered from its share of that too though ;) that happens a lot in anime

Yea, that's true. Most anime I've watched has been sketchy at moments. Though imo Tiger and Bunny was quite pretty, nothing looks as nice as the official art on DVD covers, etc.

The character designs are really nice though, and the show makes up for the 'samurai quality' (as its been dubbed) moments with how much fun it is. They fix a lot of the crappy looking moments on the blu-ray release, which is becoming increasingly more common with anime.

Oh man, this show. At this point a large part of the reason I'm still watching is just because I have to see what bizarre plot twist they pull out next (well, that and hoping we finally get to see Goto's girlfriend at some point). I'll agree the sentai arc was probably the worst part, though. I'm glad they went back to the older cast after that, because I do enjoy the characters even if the plot is a giant ball of WTF.

Just watched it now :P That was...unexpectedly depressing. Dammit, Samurai Flamenco, just as I was enjoying watching Masayoshi and Mari stalking their mutual boyfriend you pull that.

Oh wow, Samurai Flamenco is an absolute crazy train. I really loved it at the beginning, and then like you, OP, was getting really WTF at how super sentai it all became... and now it's twisted again. I honestly can't even say at this point if I like the series or not - I think I'll have to see how it ends and then decide XD

I think the show is actually really clever and meta if you keep watching it. It's my favorite this season.

Oh, I agree that it's clever. I was telling my sister that earlier today. I think my main problem is that I wasn't raised with sentai shows and I can't get into it as a nostalgic thing so that aspect doesn't work for me at all. I really like all the characters, though, so it's like I really like certain aspects and I can't stand the sentai stuff.

Yeah, makes sense! Just curious as to which episode was the last you watched, because nothing you mentioned is past about episode thirteen? Things aren't exactly what they appear. It's not quite the sentai show it looks to be. ;)

So far, Samurai Flamenco has been my favorite since Tiger & Bunny. Only three more episodes.

It's great. I watch a lot of shows, but rarely so I have to watch it right when it comes out the way I do SF. I am going to miss it when it ends.
