OUAT fandom ranting, don't mind me.
(Anonymous) 2014-03-07 01:15 am (UTC)(link)Some Swan Queen shippers hate Neal because he gets in the way of their ship. Some Regina fans hate Neal because he has a legal claim to Henry. Some Emma fans hate Neal because he left her. Some Captain Swan shippers hate Neal because he gets in the way of their ship. Some Hook fans hate Neal because he didn't want to play happy families with the man his mother ran away with. Some Rumple fans hate Neal because Neal didn't immediately hug Rumple and forgive him. Some Rumbelle fans hate Neal because Neal is at least as important to Rumple as Belle is.
I just want to see Emma, Neal, and Regina team up to raise Henry with their whole crazy extended family while everybody gets their cliche happy ending, but apparently that's not as important as who Emma ends up fucking. And the loud obnoxious part of the Captain Swan fandom is impossible to avoid without avoiding the OUAT fandom as a whole, which doesn't help.
Okay, rant over. Any recent fandom spoilers/drama got you down?
Re: OUAT fandom ranting, don't mind me.
What spoilers did you see that make you believe he's dying? I watch the show but don't keep up with the fandom. This is disappointing...
No spoilers, but the whole 'SOMEONE WILL DIE' thing for Teen Wolf is making me second-guess all the information we have about next season. Like, I don't really think any of the main cast is going to 'die' permanently despite what Jeff says, but every time I see the promos mention it I go, "BUT WHAT IF?!" I hate you Jeff.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-07 02:17 am (UTC)(link)In OUAT's case, a PA mentioned on twitter that she'd been spoiled for a death and was really pissed about it; the fact that she spoiled a shit ton of other people by taking her disappointment to twitter seems to have been lost on her. It would have stayed a rumor but then it was officially confirmed via magazine articles and cast, crew, and creative team tweets to be a current season regular, which means it's either Snow, Charming, Regina, Emma, Henry, Neal, Belle, or Hook. Rumpelstiltskin's off the hook (pun not intended) because he's already "dead."
A number of fans visiting the set as well as set-stalking paparazzi have confirmed that Neal is the one that dies, plus his actor hasn't been seen filming for awhile and all the other actors have been spotted filming as the season wraps up. A funeral was filmed early in the season and all the main cast was there except Rumple and Neal. Basically, I can predict who'll die when I watch/read something--it'll be one of the characters I like.
Re: OUAT fandom ranting, don't mind me.
:( Ugh... Ugh. Ngl, after Neal lived I thought he would be safe, at least for a couple of seasons. It's ridiculous they would do this now; what was the point of even letting him live this long, just to cause more drama? This is upsetting for me too. Not sure it's enough to make me drop the show, but I'm not as excited about it as I used to be anyway, and this is just another thing that reminds me why I probably shouldn't watch.
I find it irritating that OUAT rarely kill villains but has no problems killing other characters. (Or at least it seems that way to me, maybe my memory is bad.)
