Re: So what's the deal with Welcome to Night Vale?

It's implied that one of the characters is Hispanic and there are a lot of arguments over whether or not he's dark enough in fan art. Then the other main character isn't described at all. So there are some reasonable arguments about how it's kind of questionable for everyone to default to him being white and why not try picturing him as something else and then some not so reasonable ones about how if you picture him white then you're racist.

I'm not going to claim to be unbiased on this. I hate both extreme sides of this argument. The ones creating race wank and the ones who ignore the (yes, less noticeable) valid arguments and caricature the whole fandom.
